In 2009, Provital signed a collaboration agreement with some farmers from Vall del Tenes (50 km from Barcelona) to obtain fully traceable organically grown aromatic plants as raw material for its assets.
The BioDeVaTe project, in collaboration with the "Parc de les Olors" and farmers from Vall del Tenes, makes it possible to obtain raw material from aromatic plants native to the Mediterranean, from organic and local cultivation, fully traceable, with a sustainable cultivation system.
To reinforce this project, a collaboration has been established with the PUR Project, an agricultural production system that confirmed and validated that the production system of the BioDeVaTe park combines high quality of products and sustainability, in terms of fertilizer, choice of seeds, management of water, land use, combination of species, maintenance of biodiversity and energy consumption.
